I took my 5 year old here for his second appointment and I was REALLY dissappointed. Althought the medical assistant was kind and understanding, the actual dentist was rude and unnapproachable. He went in for a cleaning and they wanted to put sealants on his baby teeth. I denied it because this procedure is in fact dangerous and can actually cause cavities by enclosing bacteria and germs underneath the sealant CAUSING cavities. (big business huh). Then after the cleaning another medical assistant who was russian and did not tell me what she was doing to my son wanted to put a HEAVIER dosage of flouride on his teeth. I denied that too. He already had a flouride cleaning, he did not need a "heavier dosage" for his little body. Do they not know that flouride is a neurotoxin and is VERY dangerous in HIGH doses. Yeah, thats what they wanted for him to swallow. I denied the procedures and the dentist gave me a form to sign saying that I was aware of the dangers of not allowing these procedures for my child. I looked at it, crossed out the "NOTs", initialed and signed. Any form you sign is a legal document and can be used against you. Will not take him again.
