I was told the first appointment was $350 and that maybe 4 times a yr. follow-ups are $150. He spent about 2.5 hours with me, and in that time, I gave him a complete history (came prepared, $350 out of pocket hurts some people.) I'm on a schedule 3 and 4 med... scheduled, but light and not considered dangerous. Easier to kill yourself with aspirin. Anyway, at the end f that appointment, contrary to what i had been told earlier, he said he wanted to see me the next day. The ONLY reason I went to him is because it seems as if he could prescribe the med regimen that makes me functional. When I came back the next day, he had me request med records from my other providers (should have been done day one). We actually worked some day 2, but then it was an hour and I got slapped with a $300 bill for an hour. Why is 2.5 hours $350 and 1 hour $300????? Anyway, he wrote the scripts for the meds I needed (in conservative amounts) after $650 out of pocket. THEN, i went to get one filled, and it was held by the pharmacist because I had previously had similar med filled at another pharmacy from another physician. That is still in limbo and probably will be for a total of 7 days (and all he had to do was call the pharmacist and release. That's it.) They are disorganized, no call waiting, no on-call docs as far as I can tell, don't work every day and don't pick up messages in a timely manner, show up in the office at 10 AM instead of 9 (or at least the service keeps answering). In the meanwhile I suffer and I don't feel like anyone cares. Massachusetts is very bad or I have had bad luck. My advice, stay away. Find someone at half the price and avoid the confusion, frustration, and pain. On a positive side, he's smart and they are courteous, but it in NO WAY makes up for the insanely high charges, the frustration, anger, unresponsiveness and utter lack or organization and confusion. If you have pain, Heroin would be easier. Sad but very true. I think a lot of people feel that way, hence the record number of OD's in Mass in 2014. If things aren't better net week, It's small claims court because I feel like I've been taken advantage of and everything we did could have been easily done in 2 hours.... the rest feels EXTREMELY unfair. And to not get sued for libel, most of this is ROCK SOLID FACT, but there is some opinion. Regardless, it has been an expensive and unrewarding experience. A reasonable high charge would have been about $300-350, NOT $650. Beware, they will make payment arrangements.

They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. They are definitely the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. I think they are the most knowledgeable, helpful psychiatrist in the field. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. Dr. Stone and Susan provide the best care available.
