Dr. Margulies was my gynecologist for about 10 years. Until I reached the menopausal period everything was ok. Unfortunately my case with menopausal symptoms was unusual - my main complaints were depression, anxiety, panic attacks, spikes in blood pressure, chest pains, etc. My primary care physician figured out (after sending me twice to the hospital with abnormal EKG) that it is all hormonal and prescribed me estrogen patch - which done a miracle for me. Again unfortunately I needed a higher dose to remove the symptoms (and it took months if not years to figure out). Dr. Margulies took over my HRT and for some time everything was good (except when I started bleeding it took her 3 months before she cleaned up my uterus, after I became anemic, which she never told me, I found it in my records). So for a year I finally felt good being on progesterone and estrogen but Dr. Margulies didn't want me to get too comfortable - she started decreasing my dosage of estrogen (I'm sure for all the good reasons except my well being) - first 30%, then in 6 months - 50%. After my dose was cut in half all my symptoms returned with a vengeance - mood swings, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, head aches, insomnia, heart palpitations ( I'm not talking about hot flashes and night sweats, I can't care less for these), and the last drop was when my heart stopped - just for couple of seconds but it was terrifying. I called their office, spoke to the nurse, described all that was happening to me after Dr. Margulies cut my estrogen in half, and was promised that the info will be sent to the doctor and she will reply. It's been 2 days now - no response. I could not believe any doctor would just abandon their patient like this - but now I do.

They definitely don't have a good professional reputation within my community. Everyone knows they're not trustworthy at all. The first time I walked into their office, I immediately smelled an absolutely horrible odor. I don't think they've ever cleaned the place. It made me nauseous. I wasn't promptly notified about my test results nor did I ever get a call. I had to call them myself to get my results. Getting a convenient appointment time with them is almost impossible. They have really weird availability and I always have a hard time making an appointment. They didn't listen to anything I had to say! Whenever I tried to get a word in, they either interrupted me or cut me off before I could finish.

I've had Dr.M as my ob/gyn through two pregnancies. I thought with my first pregnancy she was a bit brash. I summed it up to be a misconception on my part, due to hormones. She was extremely insistent on inducing my first child because this baby was going to be ENORMOUS due to gestational diabetes. Mind you I was on a controlled diet, and insulin. My daughter was a week early, and only 7lbs 3ounces. Luckily Dr.M didn't deliver me. When I went a year later for a check up, I had an abnormal pap smear. Well long story short, I needed a cone biopsy on my cervical tissue. Luckily everything was negative. Her lack of respect, and bedside manner were atrocious. She had no cares about me being scared. Mind you I lost my mother two months before I had this done. She was so quick to schedule the surgery. That's all she cared about. When I became pregnant with my second child, I wasn't seen til about 13 weeks. Had no idea I was pregnant. The manner I was treated was rude again. She was rough, and rude still. As others have said, always on her computer. Never makes eye contact with you. Wears some inappropriate outfits. Well I was about 7 months pregnant when all of the sudden I was losing sensation in my legs. My legs would give out. I brought up this concern. She shrugged her shoulders, and didn't acknowledge it. So once I got to 9 months, I was measuring much larger then normal. I had gained about 20 lbs of fluid in a month. She told the hospital it was 20lbs in a week. They panicked, I corrected her saying it was over a month. She also informed me she didn't want to deliver a 10lb baby. That made me feel awful. My son was supposedly 2 weeks early. He always measured two weeks ahead of he should have been. Say for instance I was 18 weeks, he was 20 weeks. I didn't have gestational with this pregnancy. She wanted to induce for her damn schedule. Luckily my water broke naturally. After trying multiple positions to push, my son wasn't moving. Dr. M told me I wasn't trying hard enough. She decided that it was an emergency c-section. After that, my son wound up in special care nursery. While my partner and I were just talking to my girlfriend who was my birth coach, the doctor put in her two sense. My partner had said, and didn't even get to finish the sentence. It was, "I didn't want to have a scheduled c-section. All that got out was I didn't want to have one. She quickly said, Well then (my name) didn't want to have a healthy baby. This lady is really caring huh. So after I was discharged, two days later I wound up in the office with mastitis. I also showed symptoms of pneumonia which Dr, Katal blew off as nothing. Well two days after the appointment I was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia, away from both of my children. The ultrasound technician isn't much better. She made me go to NWH for an ultrasound because she wanted to leave early and didn't want to wait the 10 minutes it would take me to get to the office. They were also very harsh on me because I refused a flu vaccine, then tried to use scare tactics such as autism can occur due to a fever from the flu. The only decent person is Molly Clark. The whole practice should be shut down, and everyone should have their licenses revoked. You're a fool if you choose this practice. Research long, and hard. This is your health you're talking about.
