The receptionist, the doctor and the nurse who saw me before/after the procedure paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their remaining staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. The lady who was going to take my pre-payment seemed shocked when I asked if they offered a payment plan to pull my broken tooth. She made the statement, "Well you wouldn't make payments if you went to Wal-Mart." Not nice, huh? I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The office was easy to locate since I live in Lexington. If I were in some kind of an emergency I'd go back.

All three of my children had their wisdom teeth removed by the Frankfort office and even though there were complications with one of my kids, the staff responded as I would expect.

During our initial visit we were told what would be covered by insurance (everything but $25). However, after all the bills came in, there was a charge for x-rays that was not covered because my daughter had had x-rays by her referring dentist six months earlier. The staff person that I spoke with twice through the entire responsibility back on the referring dentist and my daughter. She said it was not their responsibility to ask a patient if they'd had x-rays before taking them again.

I'm appalled with that attitude. Not only do we have to pay for an unexpected bill, but my daughter was subjected to radiation that was clearly unnecessary and potentially dangerous.

I think they have a serious communication and ethical problem here if they are too busy to ask a question or contact the referring dentist before acting. AND, the response to my inquires was met with a stone wall, no apologies, no offer to split the cost, nothing.
