I am not perfect. My staff is not perfect. No one I have EVER met is perfect. But, I can assure you that we try to do our best every day with every patient we encounter. My staff and I have been together for a long time-- they are my second family and I will defend them to the end. In the almost 15 years I have been in practice I am still humbled by the kind words and reviews patients take the time to write about myself, my practice and my staff. I take them very seriously and make changes based on criticism, accolates and recommendations. I/We are constantly trying to improve and be better than the day before. So when a person joins my practice, they are a PATIENT, not a customer. Almost 20 years ago I took a very serious oath to "First Do No Harm" and to provide ethical, empathetic care to the best of my abilty. I strive to do this with every patient, every day. I am truly honored that there are people who have chosen my medical practice to provide their healthcare for themselves and their family, and I have never taken that lightly. My staff and I will do our best so that they are genuinely proud to say, "Dr. Spector is MY doctor!"

I am a solo Internist who simply puts my family members in the place of my patients. This allows me a very easy decision-making process: I just think, "what would I do if my mother/father/sister/brother or child was sitting in the place of you, 'the patient?' " What would I do in terms of tests, the specialists I choose to refer to, surgeries, medications, etc?
