Dr. Michels is a fantastic professional, who is not only an expert, but a very personable and caring individual. When I was a new patient, she spent a full 45 minutes with me - the most thorough and interactive visit I've had with any physician in my lifetime.
She considers all approaches to health, and can incorporate holistic ideas into a treatment plan. She's outstanding, and she's highly regarded by her peers. The only problem - there's only one of her, so she can be hard to get to see. She also doesn't take insurance, but will provide all documentation for recoupment (for any out-of-network benefits), and will work hard to minimize lab/treatment costs for those who aren't covered. I would aim for an early morning appointment, as she spends as much time with her patients as is needed for their health, and sometimes runs behind schedule. She's well worth the wait. Her care is a significant part of my improved quality of life.
