He absolutely believes the only recovery for an opiate dependent addict is to stay on methadone maintenance their entire life.
He does not believe in recovery even though he works in the drug abuse field. NEVER in my life have I ever been so discouraged. absolutely shocked. And I'm making a complaint with the Maryland Board of Physicians. Absolutely SHOCKED!

As good as the medical care has been, the overall impression is that the practice is totally driven by money, NOT patient care. This comes directly from the principle medical staff. Do not ask for anything UNLESS you have had a recent appointment. Not even a prescription refill while you are still in the HOSPITAL!! ( it is even on their voice mail as you call in. )

In fact the Doctor in question lauded his office manager, for refusing to allow me, to speak to ANYONE else about my concern. NO appointment in the recent past = no money for the practice. MAKE an appointment pay the 85 bucks or more... and we will offer you a refill prescription.
(while hospitalized, and concerned about lacking necessary drugs for after my discharge)

After the night time incident, that eventually landed me in the hospital due to dehydration, I called the doctors office at 4am, got the "on call Doctor". The concern and caring from this doctor (not associated with the practice in question), was 500% more, then I previously received from my "family doctor". Someone who did NOT know me and was simply doing her job, was more concerned and more reassuring then the practice that saw me!!
