Dr Nathan is a pediatric dental specialist and his practice is limited exclusively for Infants,Children, Adolescents, the Medically Compromised, and the Neurologically Challenged. He is a Diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Society of Dentistry for Children. Dr Nathan is currently Associate Professor, Dept of Otolaryngology/Dentistry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; Adjunct Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and the University of Iowa. Dr Nathan has published extensively in the area of child behavior management and lectures on both local and national levels to pediatricians, pediatric dentists, dental residents on both non-pharmacological and pharmacological management of fearful and challenging child behavior in the dental office. As result, Dr Nathan frequently is referred very difficult children who may require in-office sedation or general anesthesia. Dr Nathan serves as Attending HouseStaff at Children's Memorial Hospital Medical Center, and is active staff at Hinsdale Hospital and Delnor Community Hospital. Dr Nathan readily permits and encourages parents to accompany their child in the dental treatment room for examinations and all levels of care. New patients are always welcome.
