Arthur Poch, MD

Dr. Arthur L. Poch is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has practiced in the Shreveport area for 35 years. He is a partner with GastroIntestinal Specialists and serves on the Board of Directors. Dr. Poch is also an active staff member of Shreveport Endoscopy Center, an ambulatory surgery center. He is a clinical investigator with Louisiana Research Center, and he has participated in more than 50 research studies. Dr. Poch’s particular areas of interest include inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer screening, motility disorders and GERD. He has served as Chief of Staff for Willis-Knighton Medical Center, and has been Director of the Red River GI Conference. Dr. Poch is also actively involved in the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Poch’s training includes a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, preceded by his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science from Hamilton College in New York. Dr. Poch was raised in Hartford, Connecticut, and he enjoys snow skiing and tennis.
