I have used Dr Awender for several years and the service is top notch. Chris the secretary has always been very polite and helpful with me. I'm guessing UNHAPPY was having a bad day.

The secretary, Chris, was VERY VERY rude!! I have never been treated that poorly in all my experiences. To add insult to injury, the dentist was upset with me that I did not allow her to treat me bad when I told her she was rude. I told him what she said to me and how she was rude from day one, and how I tolerated her subtle comments until her last over the top comment was unavoidable and had to be addressed. He reported what she said to me was fine and she has worked for him over 20 years and he feels he has never had issues with her before. I highly doubt that!!! So either way, I guess if she is ok or friendly to some of the patients that is good enough for him. If she is rude to anyone else, their experience will not be considered a problem and it appears in fact, you will be called a liar when you are looking for an apology!! The comment made to me by the secretary, Chris, was delivered in a very very rude voice with her body language to match. All I asked her was to confirm the doctor’s name for me as this was my first experience with them. She stared at me for a long pause with a turned up nose and would not respond, I could feel her disapproval but was so shocked by her response, especially since she is a much older woman, that I did not know how to respond. I finally repeated the question on another way and she then told me his name very slowly as if I were mentally challenged. I asked her if she was alright? She said “I’m alright, but I was wondering about you, I mean do you even know where you are?" After her other snotty comments from my initial contact with her that I ignored, such as daring to ask their prices, I had my fill of her. I went to this dentist in the first place for the discount card they participated in. She told me I had no right to know the prices I would pay without the discount card. OOHH really, how would anyone know what the saving were then to make an informed decision, that as an adult I believe I have the right to know!!?? The end of all this is it's not worth going to this place even if it was free!! Besides their rude ridiculous unprofessional behavior, Awender only reported half the cavities my regular dentist said there were for my child. Again I went here not because I did not like my other dentist but because I had no insurance and was looking for a discount for services. So I question his abilities as a reputable dentist as well. Bottom line, I know I'm too busy to deal with this nonscence in my life and I'm sure you are as well!!, Just think twice before you go here!
