Parents of young children take note! This office uses fluoride treatment on children under 3. They reassured me that it was such a small amount that there would be no side effects on my 2 year old.
30 minute later she was rapidly vomiting 5 times. I quickly understood better the severity of giving fluoride to a young child who does not understand commands like don't swallow or to spit.
Even more unnerving, when I called the office a few hours later to report what had happened, they acted like they'd never heard of such a thing happening to a young child and almost seemed to suggest that it was an illness and not a result of the treatment.
Now, 24 hours later, I assure you it was no illness. Within 2 hours of vomiting, my child was starting to perk up and feel a bit better and never got sick or ill again.
I've spoke with other dental assistants too and learned that most offices will not treat young ones with fluoride until they can spit.
I wonder if this treatment wasn't just done because it's one more item to code and receive payment for from the insurance company.
Beyond disappointed and disgusted in myself for trusting them. We won't be returning.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. He makes children feel comfortable with getting their teeth worked on, he is a great dentist to take your family to.
