Monthly appointments are inexplicably mandatory. No refills. This is a typical visit: Walk in his office, sit down in the chair, get a prescription written and handed to you, get told "have a nice day", walk out the office and pay $40 copay for one minute of literally nothing, except a prescription. No inquiry as to how I am doing, doesn't read the therapist notes, doesn't try to work with me on anything or address any issues I may have. Doesn't know or care what my issues are. When you ask for refills, you get the "I'm the doctor, don't argue with me" routine. His reception staff however are very nice and helpful.
