I don't like badmouthing Dr Govindaiah as she started out very good, but as time progressed my condition got more complicated. It was difficult to find the right meds for me and I cannot fault her on that but I was having a lot of concerns about the medication. I couldn't wake up for work in the morning on time. She began to talk more frustrated with me. I was the patient yet she expected more from me than I was capable of giving. I wanted to try going off all the meds to see if the medication was making the problem worse. She would talk in an angry tone and wasn't hearing what I said. This last visit was horrible. I came in to her office crying and left crying harder. She spoke very harshly to me and told me I frustrated her. I was the patient, I was the one employing her, she wasn't paying me to see her.
Her staff is top notch, kind, the nurse and I had a good relationship and she could make me laugh and I could make her laugh. The medical receptionist was very nice. But my relationship with Govindaiah continued to crumble. She didn't like that I felt like I was over medicated and took it personally. She never ever asked me why.
After this last visit I was told by several friends that was patient abuse, and it was, just like what I learned from bullying in the work place training. I found another doctor I will try, and my family doctor - top notch wanted to help me but Dr. "G" just confused me, made me cry, and change my story. I have written her a long and honest letter and everything I am saying here I am saying to her, including thanking he for when it was good before she just got tired of me. You would like her nurse, Kim and her receptionist, Elaine. The problem is Dr "G" took things personally and she should have stayed professional and realized I was the patient and deserved respect and help. Now I have to start from scratch again and hopefully this time I can be weaned off the medication and find that I am doing okay. I want my joy back. It is buried under a haze of medications.
