They knew what they were doing overall, but they would rush me in and out of the office without concern for my needs. They aren't very personable. They don't seems to want to share in your joy of having a baby. My first time coming to the office, the nurse told me that I had no choice but to go to Pekin Hospital with their office. I'm pretty sure that's MY choice. I also asked if I could take melatonin for sleep issues and instead of answering my question, they had me come in for an appointment where I had to wait for an hour before they called me back, and then wasn't even informed well enough to know I was coming in to ask about melatonin. They wanted to do a pelvic check! Really? I had to tell them that I just wanted to know about melatonin and after the nurse told me "we don't recommend anyone pregnant take herbal supplements" the doctor came in and then said its should be fine to take. The nurse apparently needs to keep her mouth shut. I went to Brinkman in the Pekin office. After finding out about numerous malpractice suites against her, I decided to transfer. They refused to transfer my records even though I went in and signed a release. It was rather ridiculous. Their practice was a joke. I then was refereed to a specialist by my endocrinologist and found out that my baby needs to have their growth monitored more regularly. Brinkman said I didn't a specialist! I went to her because she was the woman that had birthed me, but won't EVER go back!
