my family is new to the area and weve been going to this doctor for 6 months and i am less than thrilled with the quality of care. for one, they made us fill out probably 6 pages of paperwork per person in our family (4 people). very detailed medical history, what we ate, when my children hit certain milestones etc. i dont mind this at all because my son has 2 complicated birth defects that require some specific knowledge. upon seeing the doctor for his checkup the first time, the doctor asked me a pointed question that made it obvious that he had not even glanced at the paperwork and detailed medical history i was required to give. why make me fill all of that out if you are not even going to look it over?

i have been trying to get them to sign a paper for my sons school for the past month. i call, they say they will give it to the doctor and will call back tomorrow when its ready. days pass and no one calls back so i call again. and again. and again. i will not be calling again. i will be making my presence known tomorrow to get it signed in person.

they were rude to my husband the first time he was there and the receptionist very loudly commented on my sons condition when we approached the desk to check in. i did not say anything then because frankly, i was a little astounded by her lack of professionalism. seriously? you comment on a childs physical disability with shock all over your face like he walked in with three heads? do you have no tact? thankfully my son is still young enough to not notice or else im sure it would have hurt him how she responded to him.

when i asked the doctor what other healthy fats i should be giving my 18 month old since she is allergic to dairy and cannot have whole milk, he responded with hotdogs. hotdogs? a doctor is recommending hotdogs as a healthy food?

he tried to use scare tactics to get me to give my children an unnecessary vaccination. the one vaccination i am refusing . ive given my children every other vaccination but the one that does not prevent a life threatening illness, just a mere inconvenience.

it took them MONTHS to get our charts and records from our old doctors office. i called our old office to see what the hold up was and our old office had not received any of the authorizations that i had filled out months ago to get our files transferred. they had lost them and i had to fill them all out again.

they are incompetent, lack customer service, and need training in courtesy, tack, and professionalism.

we are finding a new doctor immediately.

before anyone wants to dismiss this as a rant, let me say that this is the first review i have ever taken the time to fill out because the quality of care has been THAT BAD. i am not someone to fly off the handle quickly, but 6+ months of issue after issue after issue is ridiculous. i can no longer act like these issues are isolated.
