I was a new patient seeking a cleaning before my dental insurance expired, and Dr. Dodson was able to get me an appointment within two days of calling. At first the informalities were a bit surprising, but it was refreshing to be taken care of the "old fashioned way." Dr. Dodson agreed to meet me at her office at 7304 Georgia Ave, as she also works out of an office in Maryland. She was very quick and thorough, and her experience in her profession as well as her dedication and sincere care for her patients was obvious during the cleaning. If you look past what I have noticed many other reviewers calling "strangeness" and "idiosyncracies," Dr. Dodson is a rare find- a dentist that does not over-rely on unnecessary X-Rays and "state of the art" equipment on every dental visit. She knows her profession and gets it done efficiently.
