Joel's office is incredible. The folks at the front desk are sweet as can be and make sure I'm well taken care of. They ask how I've been and are happy to see me. Whereas my old dentist was upset and rude about my lack of dental records from when I moved out of state, Joel simply took it in stride and said "Okay. Well we'll just have to make some new records starting now!" I told him how much I hate needles and how sensitive I am to pain. He laughed and promised I wouldn't feel a thing. I'd heard that before and was sort of skeptical but he was right! Also, while novacaine normally makes me very uncomfortable and irritable, when Joel did it I had no problems at all. It wore off more gradually and was not the uncomfortable kind of numbness that I normally experienced with it. My father also goes to see him so Joel was telling me fun stories about him (and how he'd heard all about me) while he was working. He also sings along to the radio which is quite funny although he has a great singing voice. =) All in all I HIGHLY recommend Joel Goodman. Especially if you've got issues with needles/pain.
