Dr. Prokos has been my family's physician for well over seven years now. He is an incredible diagnostician. I have never been to him with anything he could not identify and/or resolve. In fact, he has provided answers when my other doctors could not (including food poisoning, hormonal influxes, an unidentified dizziness that he helped me resolve with simple changes to my water and salt intake). Recently, my mother (one of his patients) was in the hospital. Dr. Prokos was there to see her bright and early every morning and gave her the best care. So, not only is he great for the office visits, he is also excellent for in-hospital care. I have absolutely no affiliation with Dr. Prokos, other than having been a patient for years now. He is the best internist we have ever had!!

I have nothing good to say about Dr. Prokos or his staff. He's completely unforthcoming about health issues and seems annoyed when questioned about medications. Most recently I attempted to make an appointment. I was informed someone would "probably" get back to me that day - a Friday. I heard from the office (not the doctor) on Tuesday. They told me to take a Tylenol and no, that's not a joke.

In the past I've had a UTI and the assistant said, "Again?!" then proceeded to tell me how to use the bathroom correctly. I had a lump on my thyroid that no one felt like explaining when the test results came back. I got a physical and blood work done - again, no follow-up call when the results came back.

Surely there must be a better doctor out there. I can positively say there isn't a worse one.
