Services Pregnancy

Dr. Lambert manages both normal and high risk pregnancies. High risk pregnancies include advanced maternal age (women over 35), multiple births (twins), diabetes, gestational diabetics, high blood pressure and thyroid disease, previous miscarriages and other conditions. Blood tests and cultures will be done at various stages throughout your pregnancy. We also offer the very latest tests, including Nuchal Translucency Ultrasounds (learn more) and Non Stess Tests in our office. This makes it easier for you and family members to share in this experience.

Contraception

Today there are many choices with regard to birth control. Options include oral contraceptives (the pill), transdermal contraceptives (the patch), vaginal contraceptives (Nuvaring), intramuscular contraception (Depo-Provera), intrauterine contraception (Copper IUD or Mirena IUD), implantable subdermal contraception (Implanon) and permanent contraception (Essure or tubal ligation). Your options will be reviewed with you in order for you to make an informed decision.

Ultrasounds

We do ultrasounds in our office, including obstetrical, gynecologic ultrasounds and Saline Infusion Hysterograms. We also do obstetrical ultrasounds, three of which are done routinely. We are certified for Nuchal Translucency Sonograms (learn more) which are now recommended by The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We also offer the option of a 4-D/3-D ultrasound. These allow you to see your baby moving in real time. You will leave here with a copy of the video.

Peri Menopause and Menopause

Perimenopause and menopause can be challenging times for women. Each woman can be individually evaluated and options for treatment reviewed. These options can include hormonal and nonhormonal approaches and also bioidentical (compounded) hormones.

Preconception Counseling

If you are considering pregnancy, Dr. Lambert offer preconception counseling and infertility counseling, if needed.

I have mixed feelings about this office. I saw the nurse practitioner Heather about my menopause symptoms. Neither Heather nor any of the staff seemed to have had any trauma-informed care training and no TIC systems were in evidence. The office is a little claustrophobic and cramped, and it could use a quick tidy-up. (PLEASE somebody confirm that there is not a pile of—hopefully clean—speculums shoved into a cubby hole on a shelf in full view of patients getting blood drawn!!!) If you have a trauma history, PTSD, etc., and you find that kind of thing triggering, this may not be the office for you.

That said, everyone was very kind and accommodating—scheduling worked hard to find me a cancellation appointment, and the medical assistant didn’t argue when I declined certain tests. This office still insists on annual Paps, despite changes in recommendations from ACOG and The American Cancer Society.

This was a new patient appointment so I was surprised that Heather didn’t go over my medical history. (I filled out every questionnaire twice—online and on paper. They say they’re still “getting used to” their EMR.) As far as I know, no one actually looked at what I wrote. That led to a couple of misunderstandings.

I’m not sure if I’ll go back or not. I have a RAGING doctor phobia, and I was hoping for the kind of trauma-informed care that I have received on the west coast. I guess the idea hasn’t really caught on in the purple states, and although Heather did her best to work within my limitations, this visit did little to put me at ease. I feel like I received competent care, however, and if you don’t need any special accommodations for your fears or disabilities, this office should be just fine for you.

Dr. Lori Lambert, has been my Dr., for over 15 years. I have always relied on her good advice and great care.

The office is clean, the staff is professional, well located in Doctor Phillips.

I have recommended her to my friends and family. They also have a great relationship with Dr. Lambert. It is hard to believe some of the reviews. I will continue to see Dr. Lambert, as long as I am able, and will continue recommending her to anyone including family.
