My wife is currently eight months pregnant with our second child. We used this practice for our first and decided to use them again. Two weeks ago my wife was experiencing extreme abdominal and back pain the day of her Dr. visit. There was also a small amount of blood in her urine. We called the practice at about 3:00 P.M. to see what we should do. The NP told us to go to the hospital becuase their practice closes 2:00 P.M. on Friday and they had no idea why this was happening. They informed the Dr. on call to visit us at the hospital and he never showed up and the hospital staff had problems trying to contact him. So after spending 5 hours at the hospital they decided my wife had passed a kidney stone which caused the pain and the blood. At our next Dr.s appointment we inquired to why this had happened. (FYI this practice requires pregnant women to urinate in a cup every visit for testing while you wait to be seen.) After we questioned them as to why they had not seen the blood in her urine at the time of the visit. The nurses said the lab must have forgotten to test it at the time of your visit. They obviously didnt even so much as look at it because when we went to the hospital they said there was a significant amount of blood in her urine. So the OBGYN did not look at it and because of this We spent five hours at the hospital with our 2 and a half year old son for something that they should have caught. This is an expensive and reputable practice, what if my wife had a condition that could endangered the life of our chid? We were distraught and wanted to question them further, we then found out that after they analized the urine(1 week later) they found the blood and much to our dissapointment never ran it off for testing which we found out later is standard operating procedure. We questioned our Dr. who we have seen for every visit with our first and second child wanting to report this incident, because it seemed that the lab and front office were simply trying to cover up there apparent mistake. We hoped she would be understanding but only replied, " Well, everything is fine now right." I have worked service desks before and that is the last thing you say to a pregnant women after you have made a monumental mistake which if more seriouse could have resulted in the death of our child. Obviously they have no intention to report to anyone and say it must have been a miscommunication. I wonder If the fouder Dr. Diebel even knows what happened and the people working the lab our trying to cover it up so no one gets in trouble. Is it just me or should someone know about like the boss be notified. We now have seriouse concerns that if something more serious happens they wont be able to catch it because they are not doing there jobs. They act like its no big deal because it was just a kidney stone. We were so worried when they told us to go to the hospital bcause we weere lead to beleive this was not normal when we spoke to the OBGYN on the phone. If they had tested the urine like they were supposed to they could have informed us at on the phone that it was just a kidney stone and the baby was fine. Instead we worried at the hospital thinking there was something wrong with our child. Again what if it was somehting serious all they had to do was look at the urine to see blood in it but they were more concerned about leaving at 2:00 oclock then they were in their patients health. There are many other problems that we have with this practice other than that but this review is long enough already. (like them not sending are info .to our insurrance company and sending the wrong inss. info to the lab. We are still receiving bill from labcorp even though it is covered under our iinss. They just keep forgetting to send our inssurance info. to them. This isnt county hospital and they should run their practice way better than a Centracare. This is not just comming from an upset father, This review is 100 percent true. Please trust me and
