Dr. Patel is the worst doctor that I have ever seen. Took over Leslie Fenton's practice. Dr. Fenton always had a full office even though his office staff was terrible. Ellen is the rudest person I have ever encountered. Put up with her for years since the doc was so good. Everyone complained about her, but Dr. Fenton did nothing about her. Really miss Valerie, his previous manager who was compassionate and kind. I guess that good help is hard to find.

Dr. Patel does not return phone calls--ever, nor does his staff. He ignores his after hours emergency call service...I have never received a call back from him in the years that I have been going to him. I am chronically ill and have needed care after hours on many occasions. Good doctors are hard to find, so I stayed with him. Been looking for another doctor for 2 years, but they either had a rude staff (like Dr. Patel's) or do not take my insurance.

Since I criticized him, he will not return calls or see me. Pharmacy has been calling for over a week to get a much-needed refill. Patel finally denied the request as I ran out of medication. He and his office put the pharmacy through a lot. I had called for more than 6 weeks to inquire about a treatment for shingles. No callback from anyone. I have not been there for 2 years...but have been unable to get anyone to respond to me and appts are hard to make when no one calls you back. I would have made an appointment had someone bothered to call me back.

Dr. Patel and Ellen should stop blaming the patients for their bad behavior. Last visit was to get follow-up blood work that doctor forgot to schedule. Travelled all the way to Washington DC for a useless appt. Now have been denied medications and medical care. Am reporting Patel and his staff to Medical Board.
