From the moment I walked into this dental office I became uncomfortable. Very overwhelming chemical smell. So much that my daughter felt nauseous. Mixed feelings on the staff. Some were fine, others weren't very friendly/professional.

This man may be a good "dentist", but I'll never know because it never got that far. One thing for sure is that he has a long way to go in the human relations department. He was inarticulate and seemed to have trouble commenting on absolutely everything I said to him. Very difficult to communicate with. He looked at me like I was an alien as I was TRYING to dialogue with him and seemed confused at everything that I said or asked. I got the impression that he is most comfortable with patients who simply walk in, keep quiet, and say "yes, doctor, whatever you say, sir." He didn't seem to like the fact that I dared to tell him that I had recently had a bad experience with my last dentist. Once I told him this he told me that he wouldn't treat my daughter since I was "so skeptical" of dentists. I told him that I had never had a problem with a dentist before my last one. He seemed very uncomfortable and shifty. Even on the paperwork that I filled out (I realized later) there was no question asking if the patient had ever had a bad experience at the dentist office before. Every dentist or orthodonist I've ever filled out paperwork for asks this question. Apparently, he doesn't want to know this for some reason. He was impersonable with my daughter and made her feel uncomfortable and it was just an overall bad experience. There's plenty more to tell, but I think I've covered the main points. This was a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone.

I was a little skeptical after looking at the other review that rated Dr Gore pretty low. But I was pleasantly surprised at the facility, the staff and the doctor himself. I was also going to Dr Gore for a second opinion (note I had no fights with other dentists though) and told him when he asked me what brought me to him. He explained my options clearly. He answered my questions clearly. I felt pretty confident that he and his staff can do a good job. I have my appointment for cleaning later this month. Will try updating the review after that.

Update: Actually, Dr Gore and his office staff are even better that what I perceived earlier. I changed my rating from 4 to 5. The hygienist who did my cleaning (Stacy) was exceptional and caring. I am going to this place for my dental needs as long as I stay in Little Rock!!
