Amazing how some of these people develop God like syndrome.
After 30 years of devotion and support and referrals, he fires me. Why? Because after 3 weeks of communicating with his office staff and the pharmacy reaching out to him to fill 1 prescription I needed a refill on. An allergy spray, I thought it would be best to fax his office a note making the request. Note may have been strong as I was frustrated, the pharmacists were annoyed with me and him, his own 30 year receptionist couldn't explain the lack of service after numerous requests through her and his nurse that apparently quit after making notes of my request in the system, so considering, it wasn't over the top. I can provide upon request. I'd include but no room.
So this professional dedicated caregiver has his receptionist call to set an appointment before he can fill this Flonase prescription if you can believe it which I gladly complied with like I do with all his other requests despite always having to follow up on things that I need as I'm disabled.
When I came in, the usual 1 minute check by the nurse of my blood pressure which he's treating for years then he comes in all jolly and tells me we have to part ways. When I ask why, he tells me it was because he was offended by my letter. I explained it the situation to him again but he could care less. He gave me a month to find another primary care physician. This during covid when everyone has their own problems and doctors all have waiting lists.
In the meantime I request nothing from him except renewals that pharmacy sends. He had the nerve to call me last week to remind me that I will have another month as I have not yet found anyone. I hardly leave my home and I'm raising a teenager . The last thing ony mind is to go searching and interviewing doctors.
What really passed me off is here I am a week after this notice and I get a call from the pharmacy saying my blood pressure medication is not being renewed because he's no longer my doctor.
This was inevitable anyway as the service has been in rapid decline. Felt like he was not as attentive as he once was. Maybe everyone is like that now. Visits are 5 minutes instead of 15-30 as they once were. No follow up. I've never received a call after blood work which always needed attention as I'm diabetic, with very high cholesterol and blood pressure, not to mention arthritis and numerous other conditions requiring monitoring. I was just waiting for my daughter to go to college to change as ill be leaving the area. But for anyone considering a Physician, I urge you to look elsewhere if you really need care.
I now have to find someone to write prescriptions without my charts or knowledge of my condition thanks to the malpractice of Dr. Neil Boside.
I should have fired him long ago. If you can talk to his receptionists and ask how often you need to ask to get things done. Always down to the wire and last minute. Not to mention that he's unaware of most of my ailments regardless how often we go over them on my 5 minute visits or annual checkups.

Fyi... I've yet to get anything in writing about stopping treatment. Then a 30 day clock begins.. By law it's required so God help him if anything were to happen to me while I'm not being medicated while searching for new caregivers. I think a concierge service will be more suitable next time.
Best wishes.
