I saw this doctor for nine years. After the first two years he made very few changes in my medications to treat a life long struggle with depression and anxiety. When I told him I was leaving his care for another psychiatrist he told me that medication wasn't going to help me. My troubles were my fault due to the fact that I didn't work hard enough. How could he keep me as a patient for so long after he had decided he couldn't help me? This has been a very upsetting experience for me. Professional courtesy would have directed him to give me a recommendation or two for other psychiatrists rather than string me along for years. What a price I have paid!
