I have been a patient of Dr. Karen Johnson's for several years. Her style of psychoanalysis has been very beneficial to me as I struggle with my anxiety. She is a very calming doctor who is very good at listening and helping me to discover and cope with the issues which have bothered me the most. When I lay down on the couch in her office and try to clear out the clutter in my mind, I find that I can access my subconscious feelings and make discoveries which help me to feel better. Her insights into my condition are very accurate and her suggestions for dealing with my issues have been enormously helpful. Another great benefit of being a patient of Dr. Johnson's is that I have access to her tremendous body of knowledge about physical ailments. She keeps abreast of the newest research and treatment of all medical issues, not just the psychological ones. I recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone who thinks they would benefit from psychotherapy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Karen M, Johnson (Palo Alto, Ca.) for a significant period of time and hold her and her work in the highest esteem. She is ethical, compassionate, smart and a skilled practitioner. The work of psychoanalysis can be painfully slow at times and is not the path for everyone. But for those who are willing to dig deep and work through whatever it is that is causing pain in their lives, I can think of no one better suited to the task of guiding you in the journey than Dr. Johnson.

My life has been transformed by the work that she and I have undergone together. There are no words adequate enough to express my deep appreciation and gratitude.
