Dr. Martin Zebrack was my primary doctor when I got married in 1972. When he retired, in 2001,
Dr. Philip Shore assumed his practice and had been my primary doctor for the last 14 years.

On Oct.10, 2014, Dr. Shore sent me a letter informing me that he felt it would be better for me find another doctor in spite of our great patient and personal relationship. After being my primary physician for over 14 years, I think I deserve a reason why he felt it was "unnecessary to go into detail regarding his reasons for asking me to make the change to a new physician".

First I called his office to inquire why he felt he could no longer be my physician. Then I made a personal visit to see him. He met with me, but never gave me a clue as to why our relationship had to be terminated. He said his decision had nothing to do with me personally.

Some months prior, he had an incident with my husband (who is no longer his patient). I'm now wondering if he is punishing me because of that incident. The letter he sent was a very impersonal way to handle our situation. I truly thought we could resolve our differences and he would continue caring for my health needs.

In my opinion, if you're looking for a new physician, look elsewhere.
