Dr V is my angel. A German Shepard bit my face on the 4th of July of 2011. He was kind enough to travel from Hillcrest to LaJolla Scripps Hospital ER to suture my face together. He was straightforward and conscientious but above all talented and compassionate. I will always be grateful to him for both his fine skills as a plastic surgeon and then humility and sense of humor he brings to his patients. The world is a better place because of him.

I made a big mistake one night working with my table saw: the board kicked back and three of my fingers went into the saw blade. One finger was
fileted, the other cut the corner off and the last finger, the fingernail was almost completely gone. I went to the emergency room at Sharp Memorial Hospital where Dr. Vecchione examined my fingers. I was loaded up with morphine (and other pain med) and was in and out of being awake. All I wanted to tell
Dr. Vecchione was if he could give me back my fingers, i would be most happy. He worked on my fingers for four hours and a year later, one finger you cannot even tell it was cut . He told me the usual time for an accident like this is around 18 months to two years recvering time. I was very happy with Dr. Vecchione work and his happy go lucky attitude. I was not nervous to see him (and his caring staff) for follow up care. If you need a caring and compassionate Dr., please see him and ask him for medical advise. You will not be sorry. I'm not.
