I am not a negative person, unfortunately I have nothing good to say about this doctor. I will go ahead and tell you the story. This morning a member of my family had to go to the doctor and we found out that she has the flu. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the drug Tamiflu--it is an antiviral medication used to prevent and treat the flu. Basically doctors will prescribe this medication to anyone who is in close contact with someone who has the flu. My husband USED to go to Lander Smith, but after today, he will never go back. I called my doctor and they called me in a prescription for Tamiflu, no problem. I called Banister-Lieblong at 10 am this morning and didn't get a call back until 3 pm. I told the nurse that we have a member of our family that has the flu and I asked her to call my husband in a prescription for Tamiflu. She said that is fine, she will just have to have Dr. Smiths approval. She called back at 4:55pm--25 minutes after they closed and informed me that Dr. Smith would not be calling in a prescription and that my husband needed to make an appointment for Monday. So what is he supposed to do if he does get the flu? Suffer? Or go to the emergency room and pay $1000, for an ER doctor to prescribe Tamiflu. I will remind you that TamiFlu is an antiviral medication used to PREVENT and treat the flu. Lander Smith shows a blantant "I don't care" attitude, and he obviously does not take care of his patients! I would not recommend him to anyone, in fact, I would recommend that you do not go to this doctor for your health care needs. I hope this helps in anyones search to find a decent doctor around here :)
