I went to Dr. Mohty for trigger-thumb. He took his time explaining to me that a second shot (he didn't do the first one), would only delay the ultimate fix (surgery), and could possibly damage my thumb permanently. I therefore had the surgery, and now have full use of my thumb (but am still working on strengthening it post surgery, as expected). Dr. Mohty was great at explaining how important it was for me to take specific steps to prevent infection after-surgery.
