In the Lakewood office the chairs in the waiting room were stained and filthy, the scale for weighing patients IN the waiting room. Ignored in the examining room for the computer, I was eventually palpated through two layers of clothing, then subjected to an intense sales pitch for an unnecessary colonoscopy and an offhand misdiagnosis pending my decision in 2 weeks to have said procedure. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and ignorant.

Upon my dismissal I was handed a "patient summary" which included my completely wrong medications, completely wrong symptoms (including location of pain) and information regarding same wrong information that made me appear to be suffering from hysteria. I left confused, disgusted and furious. I have no idea who the person described in that summary was, but they bore no resemblance to me or my condition in any way.

Upon the urging of my other physicians, family and friends I never returned for the two week follow-up. I made an appointment with another gastroenterologist with another group, was immediately correctly diagnosed, treated and recovered swiftly. No one at the new doctors' office suggested a colonoscopy.
