I contacted Dr. Pesin on a Sunday at 8 PM to call in a prescription refill per orders of my pharmacy. Not only was he VERY rude, but he continued to lecture me on my irresponsibility and inconsideration for HIS time on a Sunday evening. When I explained to him that I was sorry to disturb him on a Sunday evening, however, he was my point of contact as directed by my pharmacy and perhaps he should consider NOT taking "on call" shifts as an OBGYN if he is so "inconvenienced" by phone calls for prescription requests.

I was extremely disappointed by his curtness and I will immediately transfer doctor's. As a woman, I refuse to be denied because I must reach out for a prescription, prescribed by my doctor, simply because I have failed to schedule an appointment. I acknowledge that I failed to request my prescription at an opportune time, however, it is my belief that a doctor should NEVER deny a patient their rights to prescription birth control.

After the call, this doctor told me that he would not in fact call this prescription in, because he did not "see this as an emergency" but instead more of an inconvenience and that I would have to wait and have my doctor call in my prescription the next day. It is astounding to me that I pay the money I do for the health coverage, only to be directed to a doctor such as Dr. Pesin, who considers himself privileged enough to select which patients he will care for based on personal interest. I am disgusted and I hope not ONE more woman is treated the way I was treated by this doctor.
