Most educated doc with Lyme disease I have experienced out of 7 providers (LLMDS) in area. Long appt wait times. Too much paperwork to fill out every visit (she uses your 5 forms a visit for your med record). She drives the appt (agenda), you have to have strong control to get in your own needs. She often tries new things on all patients and tracks for 'one day I will write a book'. She has had lyme. She probably still does, as she exhibits alot of stress on patients herself which makes it a stressful experience. BUT if you need the good care, you have to try to put up with it. She does not support filing ANY disability paperwork, and as a primary care doc, it can be devastating if you can't work and need to file. I hope she has changed this policy. I have been around the block for 10 yrs, and she's still the most knowledgeable, and will work with you if you can get a word in. But if she disagrees with you, good luck on getting her mind changed. Its not really like 'teamwork'. A hard balance...had to leave. But lack of educated physician care makes me want to return for my last few years here. New England medical system is way tooo strained to provide any quality healthcare. SUCKS I give her props for doing what she does.
