Hello you.
To jump right to the point. I need to heal from a birth that you 'assisted' me with 7 years ago. Perhaps you remember me. Plain and simple, I need to heal and to forgive you from a lot of hate and regret that I have held against you, Lisa Litton for 7 long years. My angel boy, Sebastian Michael was born at 5:48 am after you jumped in my husbands car and rushed us all, (me naked in only a small sheet) from your birthing center to TMC ER.
Choosing your birth center after being CONTINUOULSY PROMISED a 'personal and prioritized birth plan and birth experience for 7 long moths, I unfortunately chose your birthing center. After my water broke at 36 weeks, I was told to come in to your center. I had made it clear over and over and over that I wanted and needed a water birth. After being 'admitted', I had horrible back labor pains (which you thought was regular labor) on a ball for about 20 minutes before you told me that both tubs were taken even though I knew both of the ladies had already given birth and we were just waiting for them to be 'cleaned'. You told me that if I wanted a water birth or even to labor in water, that I needed to go home to do so. I had my amazing husband drive me home, every contraction in that car, I wished for your death. You will NEVER KNOW THE PAIN of a back labor bincornuate uterus contraction in a stupid car while begging your husband to run every red light while hes yelling at you that he cannot. After the most excrutiating pain of my life, I finally make it home to my tiny bathtub and take the antihistameaine you gave me in the hopes I could relax. What a joke! The contractions kept coming and coming faster and faster and thanks to you, I had no relief. We called you and you told us to come straight back and that you had finally cleaned out the big tub. (I guess it takes 2 hours for you to clean a tub). After I FINALLY made it back to your birthing center (still not sure if you've ever had a back labor pain in a car), you put me in the big tub, then left to talk to your nurse for 2 HOURS while I labored, even having bloody show, and still NO SUPPORT. The nurse came in ONE time, to give me a dirty judgemental look, told me to 'spiral down', then said she had a mountain of paperwork she needed to attend to. I never saw her for the rest of the night, even when I was screaming in pain. So sorry to both you all. Then, you, Lisa LIitton came in and told me to get out of the bath, which was the only relief I had with my horrible back labor, which you with all of your experience thought was normal regular labor....and onto the bed so you could check me since my water had broken 10 hours earlier. You said you felt his head and that you would give me a shot in my vein then back in the tub. At that point, I don't know what happened to your birth centers vow of 'personalized care' since you shoved a huge needle in my vein when I had explicitly told all of the midwives at every appointment that my veins were so tiny that they could barely handle a butterfly needle if that! Of course that medicine gave me NO relief and you rudely ordered me back into the tub. ANOTHER couple hours of the most painful back labor ever (that you still thought was normal labor) and you told me to get back on the bed. You stuck your hand inside me again and said "I feel a head!" You told me to run to my car (NAKED!!!!) and as my husband drove us to the UMC ER you NONSHALANTLY SAID ' You know this means a C-section, right?" Luckily my husband had the paperwork ready and they rushed me right in and did an ultrasound and within one second, someone half your age said 'Bicornuate heart shaped uterus!'. I fell into your arms as they pulled out the epidural needle and you actually laughed at me. You laughed under your breath as if How dare I put my whole body into yours at this moment. You UNFORTUNATELY sat by my head during my EMERGENCY Csection and commented at the end of it all, how 'lucky I was and how you had learned so much from my situation' You left both my husband, my mom and I in COMPLETE shock. You never even cared enough about Sebastian to put a damn picture of him on your wall at the birth center. (Not to mention I was ALWAYS treated like a complete intrusion anytime I needed to make another appointment of to even check out a book! I am blessed beyond belief that my angel was born alive after the ER doctor, Dr. Chin told me that he was stuck in my birth canal the entire time that you were figuring out the difference between a butt and a head. So after 23.5 hours or back labor later, you told me you were sorry; Well, Newsflash, after 7 years later, I still hate you and need you to make this right. Consequently Sebastian was diagnosed with AUTISM and sensory processing disorder and it has NOT been an easy road. After having his 3 lb. sister due to my bicornuate uterus (which YOU never figured out, even after the 1 and only sonogram you gave me, even after I requested more), I have been told that I cannot have any more.
You lucky that he is here and alive and thriving with me.
Now it is time for you to make this experience right with me so that I can forgive you and finally move on.
