Dr. Franklin performs over 350 knee surgeries per year. A large percentage of the knee procedures that Dr. Franklin performs are knee arthroscopies, where he uses a pencil-sized scope to remove or repair damaged tissues and reconstruct torn ligaments.
A practicing surgeon for over 18 years, Dr. Franklin has been recognized in Seattle Magazines Top Doctors list, as well as the prestigious national Best Doctors list.
Dr. Franklin completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard University, where he was a varsity wrestler for four years. He completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Washington, and went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the Salt Lake Knee Research Foundation. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University School of Medicine.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Franklin grew up enjoying skiing, fishing, and boating. He continues to enjoy being active in the outdoors. He has coached youth football and baseball, and was a volunteer coach for the Boys & Girls Club.
