In December of 1999, my right leg was completely shattered in an accident when a car ran a stop sign and slammed into my leg while I was riding my motorcycle. There was a very high possibility that I would lose my leg. Dr. Wellborn was the surgeon assigned to my case at the hospital. He not only saved my leg, but repaired it so well, replacing the bone with a metal insert and "farming" new bone into the break, that I was eventually able to resume my athletic pursuits with no decrease in ability. In follow-up visits, Dr. Wellborn was exceptionally professional and courteous, and showed great concern for my well-being. He's the BEST!
