I am a board-certified and fellowship-trained Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement surgeon who has practiced in the Clear Lake area for over 20 years. I have had the honor of serving as the team physician for a number of the schools in the greater Bay Areas for many years. As a former high school and college athlete myself, I am passionate about keeping patients healthy both on and off the field.

My office philosophy is an old school "Marcus Welby" type hands on practice. I see all the patients. I apply all the casts. I do all the surgery. We run a timely office and help you schedule all your tests and treatments. We do not go home until every message or question from a patient is answered. We get to know our patients and my staff really works with you to help you through today's insurance problems.

I believe strongly in conservative care of soft tissue problems and we currently have the only Sonorex, acoustical sound wave energy Sonorex machine in Houston or Dallas. Contact us about this new technique in the management of tendonitis.

I had a 2:15 scheduled appointment and I arrived roughly 5 minutes prior. At 2:45 I had yet to be called and I was the only person in the waiting room. I asked how much longer it would be and I was told they were cleaning the room and it would be just a minute. After waiting 51 minutes past my appointment time, I notified the ladies at the front that I was leaving.

The customer service here is awful at best and the bedside manner of Dr. First is even worse. Don’t waste your time or your money, find an Ortho that cares about his patients and not just making a buck.
