the worst, most unprofessional Dr's office I have ever had to deal with. First they wouldn't let me make an appointment for my 84 year old friend. Told me it was Hippa regulation which was a lie, I make appointments for him all the time. I explained to miss Dixie that he can't hear on the phone, which is why I make his appointments. she insisted he had to call her to make appointment. I asked to speak with the manager, he tried to tell me the same thing, but did let me make an appointment for him if I promised to have him call the next day because they needed all kinds of info from him . I had him call the next day, and not one relevant question was asked. WE went for his appointment today 7/7/16. Normally they hand you a clip board and have you fill out papers. Not Miss Dixie, she takes him to a room to fill them out for him, and told me I couldn't come with him. Well, my father is a physician, and I have worked in this profession for years. I knew she was wrong, and went in the room with him. She filled out most of the papers, and handed him the clipboard to fill something out, he handed it to me to fill out, and I did. When it came time to sign the paper that says they can talk to me, and give me any info I need, Miss Dixie told me I had to leave the room before she would let him sign the paper. Again I said no. She then threatened my friend with do you want Dr. Petersen to see you. I said you cannot threaten him like that. She then told us to go to waiting room without letting him sign the paper. Soon the Dr. came out of an exam room and went into the office. He came out with steam coming out of his ears, and informed me I was not coming in the exam room with my friend. I said I am because he can't remember things that Dr's. tell him, and it is important for me to know seeing how I take care of these things for him. Dr Petersen insisted that I would not be allowed in the room, and told us to leave, which we were going to do anyway because a professional that is that unprofessional is not worth seeing. So I advise any one who is considering seeing this Dr. should really think twice. I am convinced that the care my friend would have received would have been less than acceptable.
