My mother was a patient of Dr. Bess. She had a fairly simple procedure done on her stomach. Scar tissue had grown over the opening of her stomach due to ulcers. During surgery Dr. Bess said he had to pull on the opening because of the severity of the scar tissue buildup. Long story short she had gradually become worse in the following days due to her body filling with bile. Dr. would not listen to our concerns and she continued to get worse for her body was filling with poison. Long story short after we complained and asked for a new doctor we were kicked out of Sioux Falls hospital. My mother went to mayo clinic and spent months there with the team trying to fix the mistake that was done in Sioux Falls. my mom lived off of a feeding tube for the first year after she was dismissed. Nothing was the same after that and my mother eventually passed away. She was only 66 years old. She was never the same after entering Dr. bess’s Surgery. There is so much more to the story. I’ve often thought maybe Kello land would find interest in the story. We are all still lost without her. she has five great-grandchildren that would love to have loved her.
