He had terrible people skills. I felt like he never fully explain to me what was wrong. He was very vague and uncaring. He told me they didn't want to biopsy because it "could be" cancer and if it was then it would just spread, so he was just going to remove it and go from there. Right after he informed me of the possibility of cancer he gets up and says "Okay well I will see you in surgery next week." and leaves the room. To put this into perspective I was a 19 year old girl who had come to the doctor by myself. For a doctor to just say I don't know what it is, maybe cancer, and then just walk out the room with no further explanation is completely unprofessional. The following week I proceded to have my surgery. It turned out to not be cancer but simply a seroma. He placed a penrose tube in it and said that would help it drain excess fluid out. After 1 week they took the drain out but leg began to swell. I had to go back to the office every 3-4 days to have fluid drained from my leg. After about 4 trips my leg began to turn red, feverish, and sensitive. I was sick, dehydrated, and feverish myself. He simply looked at my leg and said "Well if it gets worse just go to the ER." I did go to the ER the next day and was told that if I would have waited a few more days the infection could have cause amputation. I was then subjected to wear a JP drain for 4 weeks and compression hose for 5 weeks once the JP drain came out. I went back one last time after surgery to try and get my medical records and the women behind the counter refused to give them to me. They said I had to talk with the Doctor and that he wasn't here and I would have to wait. After that I felt so unwelcome at that place. I have yet to go back but plan on going and getting my medical records.
