I had a test and when I called for the results, their office personnel informed me they didn't have to provide results for 7 days. Exactly to the day, 7 days later, Dr. Hoffman calls and READS the results of the test performed by the radiology group and written by the radiologist. He obviously never looked at my film in the 7 days before he called to give me the results. I had stage 4 cancer of the kidney and HE HAD NO freaking clue.
Scary isn't it? This could have been you.
Case in point: after I was told I couldn't get results from them for 7 days, I got the results myself and consulted with the top kidney doctor in the country within 4 hours, long distance and thru email. His advice was precious and leaves me to think I am here writing this today because of his commitment to medicine. Dr. Hoffman hasn't published anything, obviously loves his office hours and relies on you fine folks to make sure the cash flow helps him maintain his lifestyle..uninterrupted.
My opinion:: Run as fast as you can to Richmond and see Dr. Michael Franks,Urological Oncology, published 17 times and an expert in his field.

Dr Hoffman was so wonderful!!! We took our just under 2 yr old son in b/c he had adhesions (foreskin partially re-attached). Dr Hoffman listened intently to us as we provided background info and then suggested that we just change our son's diaper and he would do a quick examination then. What a great idea - way less stressful for our son who HATES doctors touching him! He was very quick but thorough in the examination, and it turns out no surgery is needed =)
