Best podiatrist ever! Don't listen to the lady Laurie who gave a 1 star review, SHE doesn't know what she's talking about. Dr. Vona is the best, he identifies my pain source and gives me proper treatment. I have seen him for over 5 different foot injuries and he has fixed them all.

My last and FINAL visit started with the receptionist who didn't realize I had been there before(3 times) because they did not have my chart. She was totally unorganized with money ,checks and insurance cards laying around on her work space. This would explain why my previous check was misplaced and sent to a collection agency. After a 40 minute wait I finally was shown into the exam room with another patient. This girl was no relation to me but the receptionist thought we were together because we were seated near one another in the waiting room. Really?
I have seen Dr Vona before and on my first visit he sent me for x-raysof my heels because of extreme pain. After viewing the x-rays he diagnosed me with Achilles Tendonitis.Everytime I have seen him the course of action has been to keep on applying ice packs to my heels. This has been going on for months. At this FINAL visit he looked at my feet and began a conversation about how pain is all in our brains and not really where we are feeling it (my heels). His most annoying and unprofessional comment was "that since the pain is in my brain maybe I should start icing my head!" REALLY?? I was left speechless by this and realized that I would no longer be needing his services because he didn't know what he was doing.
I have since seen a new Dr. and by looking at the x-rays Dr Vona sent me for, this podiatrist determined that the tendonitis in my heels is severe. The new Dr is sending me to a surgeon because I need both my feet operated on. Maybe if Dr Vona had paid attention to the x-rays, I wouldn't have ended up in so much pain for all these months.
I would strongly suggest to anyone who is looking for a podiatrist, to stay away from Dr Vona!
