Dedicated to improving your quality of life through our comprehensive process of systematic evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of your pain. Dr Carissa H. Stone has been practicing Pain Management since 1992 when she began her residency in Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida which she completed in 1995. She also completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury and Rehabilitation at the James Haley VA. She trained in Tampa and under D.A.T.A. for Suboxone addiction treatment in the office setting, and obtained her waiver certification for in office treatment of Opiate dependence as well. She is a prescriber of Suboxone.

Dr. Stone specializes in the interventional treatment of back, neck and all types of nerve and skeletal pain including Botox for Migraine, Dysport for Cervical Dystonia and cancer pain, as well as the treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She performs interventional pain management procedures utilizing fluoroscopic guidance, with or without patient sedation, in a Level 1 office based Procedure Center. She also has in office blood draw capability and can perform ultrasound guided procedures as well, as Stim Wave peripheral stimulator implants.

Further, Dr. Stone integrates a whole person Wellness/Nutritional approach to her practice which includes discussions on weight loss and dietary changes as needed. She believes in a comprehensive approach to Pain Management in order to achieve maximum patient functional restoration. Dr. Stone is also a Workman’s Compensation provider.

I waited hours only to have her be rude and condescending at EVERY appointment. Even worse, she sent me out for tests that I had to pay out of pocket for and then refused to go over the results. I've been seeing her for several months and there has been zero progress of any kind. Not even helpful information. Several months and zero treatment! She schedules redundant appointments where nothing new happens, gets discussed, OR done. She's never prescribed any meds yet she requires a urine test at every visit. Seems llike an abuse of Medicare funds to me. Keeps pushing the same expensive procedures that have failed in the past for me. I can't help but to feel she's more concerned with her wallet than my health. Horrible bedside manor AND has been flat out disrespectful on more than one occasion. Looking for a new doctor!
