Barbara (she/her) has been a midwife for more than 20 years. Initially earning her certification at the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, she first spent 15 years working at a community health center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, followed by four years in Portland before joining the team at Salem Health. She is passionate about supporting women, building trust and helping them find their strengths. She views each woman and their family as unique and deserving of personalized, evidence-based care in all stages of life, and she is pursuing certification as a menopause practitioner. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, bird-watching and baking.
