He delivered my first baby 30 years ago. I would hope that some things have changed. I will never forgive him for telling the labor & delivery nurses, "Well, she's the one who wanted to do Lamaze, not me.........tell her to use her breathing."

This was in response to several phone calls the nurses made to try to get him to either get in there, or to allow some pain relief. He flatly refused.

I also had some severe bleeding issues that lasted longer than a month after delivery, which he simply wouldn't address.

Not the best "first baby" experience. Thankfully, the second one was born in another state, and the entire experience was beautiful, as this one could've been.
