Arrived at 0820 and had to fill out additional paperwork than what was pre-filled online. The Front office staff was EXTREMELY unprofessional, and when I asked what FMLA stood for the lady asked if I had a job.

During the 20 minute wait before the ultrasound, the front office staff was talking loudly about their paycheck schedule, and how one in particular couldn’t pay her power bill on time. The waiting room had TVs that played infomercials very loudly. They don’t want you using your cell phone because it may cause a disruption, but the blaring TVs are ok. I like the no cell phone rule, I’m just making a comparison.

Finally, I was called back for the ultrasound. The tech was rough with the wand and hurt one of my ovaries. She didn’t explain much of what she was seeing, and only tried to when asked. This was 180 degrees out from my previous pregnancy. I felt like just a number and that made me uncomfortable. After this was finished I was told that I had to go back to the waiting room and wait for the nurse practitioner. During this time a large number of staff were seen throughout the office, and there were a lot of patients in the waiting area. However, no one was ever called. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I decided that I no longer wanted to use this practice. I informed the girl at the front desk that I was leaving. She promptly left the area. I waiting another couple of minutes, left my phone number, and walked out.

I received a phone call stating that I was going to be charged for a no-show fee in addition to the money I had already paid for co-pay. When I asked how I could be a no-show when I was there, I was informed that I actually had two appointments. This was news to me. I will be taking this up with my insurance company, but this is unprofessionalism at its worst.

I have heard good things about the doctors here, but the front office is a total joke. Avoid this office!!
