I have been to Joel Schwartz twice for a rash on my finger. The first time I went in he hastily decided without close examination that I have a form of eczema and prescribed a cream. He seemed to be irritated with me for wanting to wear my engagement ring even though it might have traces of nickel and then he shooed me out of his office. Two years have passed and the rash came back. When I described it over the phone to the receptionist she said "Oh you'd better come in" so I made time in my schedule, drove to Burbank, paid for parking, waited in the waiting room, and then when Dr Schwartz came in, he never even looked at my finger. "Oh it's Nickel Woman!" he said when he came in. I explained that the rash was spreading even after I applied the cream and he STILL didn't look at my finger and just said to apply the cream while the skin is moist and use plastic wrap if it's still a problem, good bye, that'll be $40 please. The entire visit took about 30 seconds. But it took a couple of hours out of my day and $40 out of my wallet.

I have rarely felt so discarded and disrespected by a doctor - Joel Schwartz might know something about dermatology but his bedside manner makes him totally unsatisfactory! I was made to feel as though my time was worthless and my money should be unimportant to me.
