Dr Lawrence has been my HMO cardiologist for seventeen years. I have a heart condition that requires twice daily medication. My former cardiologist had me on a treadmill/echo twice a year without fail. Dr Lawrence, however, has never even taken a baseline EKG. Of the umpteen times Dr Lawrence has filled my prescription, he has gotten the number and dosage correct about half the time. Right now I need to leave for a funeral (and to help out the widow -- my sister) and need to take my meds with me. I have been on the phone since last Thursday, and Dr Lawrence either has not been in or the office staff is lying for him because I issued a complaint about the lack of care. Today I spent two hours and forty-five minutes of phone time with cardiology and have talked to four different people, have been hung up on twice, and although I am not due for an exam, Dr Lawrence has apparently refused to refill my meds. This is not health care. This is criminal negligence. If I run out of meds while I"m up north, and if anything happens, there will be a law suit. Both Dr Lawrence and Dr Wyman should lose their licenses.

A pleasant enough guy. I didn't feel like he was a super-doctor when it came to my special issues, nor did he seem particularly interested. I only saw him because he can also act as a primary care physician for my PPO and I needed one after I moved to the area. I think I would head elsewhere for any serious cardiac issues, but I can't say anything specific that is negative about him.
