I went to Dr. Matzer for a physical, as she is listed with United Health
Care as a primary care physician. I stated the desire to have a physical and to use her as my primary care physician when I made the appointment. When I got there, I was ignored and not greeted and treated very rudely by the 2 young women staffing the front desk. Dr. Matzer herself was quite rude, and said it was "not her fault" that I had gotten the wrong information, never even apologized for my trouble, and seemed not to care at all. I have a cardiac history, and I would never go to Dr. Matzer. Unless you like being treated poorly, stay away.

Dr Matzer has a very good "bed side" manner when with her in person but don't expect her to return your calls if you have a follow-up question or two about treatment. Instead her administrative assistant will call and say that you have to make an appointment to have my question answered. On one occasion, the assistant told me that I was at risk of a stroke if I didn't see her right away. Those kind of tactics didn't sit well with me so I decided to not see her anymore. I stopped taking the medication she prescribed because it as making me sick and not lowering my BP. Today my BP is perfectly fine, 120/80 and I it's been over a year since I stopped taking the drug. No stroke, yet.
