Hands down, he saved my life. What can you say in return to someone for that. He wasn't my principal cardiologist, he wasn't my electrophysiologist after a defibrillator implant, he wasn't even on the transplant team when I received a heart in 2013. He was there in 2004 when the journey started; when I was too stubborn to accept an implant to ward off VTACHs to come. Though on call that evening at the hospital and, in spite of my willingness to let Fate take its course, he took the time to counsel me and convince me to trust in accepting this life-altering decision. Two days later on Christmas Eve, the implant fired 6 times, saving my life and repeating to do it for six more years. Many doctors have been bedside with me since, including the final solution -- a heart transplant. But this initial act set the course for me to live. Considering that, how would You say thanks?
