All our patient are advised and required to wear their retainers for the rest of their lives to maintain correction. Decisions about wisdom teeth can be made by your dentist, oral surgeon, orthodontist or any other dental provider. If retainers are worn as instructed, tooth movement will not happen whether wisdom teeth are removed or not. Completed patients at our office sign a contract that they will wear their retainers as prescribed and indefinitely. How they behave after they leave the office is beyond our control.

Our office rates patient cooperation during treatment as excellent, good, fair, and poor. Inevitably, patients that consistently receive and excellent or good ratings are happy with their orthodontic results.

A little disappointed, after receiving braces from Dr.Hook and going through the process (3 years then retainer for another 1). He choose not to have my wisdom teeth removed and I'm not dealing with over crowing as they have come in over the last year. Pretty unhappy about having to deal with this. Would suggest another orthodontist.
